And the 2024 Arkansas Farm Family of the Year is… Murry and Dee Henderson of Mississippi County. The Henderson run a row crop operation near Keiser, Arkansas along with an ag flying service that operates two planes and services over 40 farmers.
Murry and Dee Henderson of Keiser were named today as the 2024 Arkansas Farm Family of the Year. The Arkansas Farm Family of the Year program has helped to recognize outstanding farm families throughout the state since 1947. The Hendersons have been farming in Mississippi County for 23 years.

On Thursday, the Arkansas Farm Bureau Foundation awarded three grants totaling $10,000 to the De Queen School District. These grants will help several schools in the district further their agriculture programs. ArFB’s Foundation continues investing in communities across the state for the future of agriculture in Arkansas.
Meet the Brents family! When Strap was laid off in 2016, he and his wife, Leigh Ann, started a full-time poultry and cattle farm. Now they have five broiler houses, 130 head of cattle and annually farm 300 acres of hay. The Brents have two children who enjoy helping on the farm and life in the country.
Meet the Daniels family! Tim and Michelle began their cattle ranch 20 years ago when they decided to invest profits from their trucking business into a farm. Now, alongside their three sons and grandchildren, they have been working to grow their operation along with reclaiming timberland for pasture.
